CHERYL DELISLE, CTA JOINS TOURCO VACATIONS
NOBLEBORO, MAINE SEPTEMBER 09, 2008: TOURCO President Jerry DiPietro today announced that Cheryl Delisle, CTA, DS has joined the company as Manager of its retail subsidiary, TOURCO VACATIONS.

“Cheryl brings a great deal of experience and enthusiasm to this position,” says DiPietro, “and we are very excited to have her at the head of our consumer division. She has a very solid background in travel sales and product knowledge.”

Mrs. Delisle owns Sanford Travel, in Sanford, ME, and since purchasing it, has converted it to a leisure only travel agency, with a specific focus on group travel. She currently serves as President of Maine ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents), whose primary focus is on educational programming for travel agents.

TOURCO, the Northeast’s oldest and largest specialist tour wholesaler, launched the TOURCO VACATIONS brand in January, 2008. TOURCO VACATIONS offers tour packages and cruises worldwide to groups throughout New England. “We have product to suit every interest,” says Cheryl Delisle, “from Senior Groups to Schools, and from Employee Recreation Groups to Church and Special Interest Clubs, along with cruises and vacation packages for individuals and families.”
TOURCO currently sells group tours and individual tour packages to tour wholesales worldwide, including Kuoni, Virgin (Airlines) Holidays, Globus/Cosmos, and more. “Our most popular product for people coming from overseas is a driving tour for individuals – often staying in country inns or plantation homes in the South,” says DiPietro, “while groups are often looking for ‘experiential’ tours – culinary, sports, etc.”

The TOURCO VACATIONS website, www.tourcovactions.com, showcases a sampling of product, “but custom group tour planning is our forte,” says Cheryl Delisle.
